Welcome to
my colorful world!
A portrait of a woman smiling.
I'm Nadine Werjant, a freelance graphic designer, illustrator, and muralist based in the vibrant city of Vienna, Austria. In 2011, I successfully completed the Masterclass Graphic and Communication Design at "dieGraphische" in Vienna, marking the beginning of my creative journey. After gaining international experience, including a memorable stint in New York, I returned to my roots in Austria and have been proudly calling Vienna my creative home since 2014.

Throughout my career, I've discovered a deep passion for illustration, which has become a cornerstone of my artistic expression. Emotions and storytelling lie at the heart of my creative vision. Women and strong characters often feature prominently in my work, depicted in moments of introspection, power or connection with their surroundings.

In my murals, I blend graphic design and illustration, drawing inspiration from the rich artistic heritage of Vienna, particularly the vibrant art scene of the early 20th century.

How much does a mural cost?

The cost of a mural can vary significantly depending on factors such as the size of the wall, the complexity of the design, the condition of the surface, and other individual project requirements. Due to this variability, it's challenging to provide exact estimates without knowing the specific details. However, to give you a better understanding of my price structure, I'm happy to send you sample prices if you shoot me an email at nadine@werjant.com.

Do you ever create murals for free or at a reduced cost?

Yes, occasionally I do! Especially for street art festivals or causes that I strongly support, like women's rights and empowerment. Additionally, I may offer reduced rates for projects that align with my values and beliefs, or for locations where the mural can serve as a positive contribution to the community. However, as this is my livelihood, I also need to maintain a balance to ensure that I can support myself financially. At the very least, I ask that my expenses, such as the cost of materials, are covered.

How long does it take to paint a mural?

The time it takes to paint a mural depends on several factors, including the size of the surface, its location, the need for specialized equipment like lifts or ladders, the complexity of the design, and the condition of the surface. For example, a mural measuring 4x4 meters outdoors typically takes about 2 days to complete, while the same size mural indoors may require around 3 days. However, these estimates can vary significantly based on the surface's condition and texture. Smooth, prepared surfaces generally require less time for preparation and painting, while rough or uneven surfaces may necessitate additional preparation and careful application to achieve the desired result.

Can I remove or paint over your mural in case I don't like it anymore?

Yes, you have the option to remove or paint over the mural if you no longer wish to keep it. If you decide to remove or alter the mural, I recommend consulting with me or a professional painter to ensure the process is done safely and effectively, without causing damage to the underlying surface.

Illustration

I want to hire you for a tattoo design. How does that work?

Interested in a custom tattoo design? We'll start with a consultation to discuss your ideas, including design concept, placement, and size. Once we've nailed down the details, I'll create a custom design tailored to your vision. We'll collaborate on revisions until it's just right. Then, I'll provide the finalized design files for your tattoo artist.

Can I use one of your existing illustrations for my book / blog / campaign / etc.?

The illustrations showcased on my website are predominantly created exclusively for specific projects or clients. To ensure that the integrity of each project is maintained, I kindly request not to download or use images without proper authorization. However, if there's a particular illustration that catches your eye and you'd like to incorporate it into your book, blog, campaign, or any other endeavor, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I'd be more than happy to discuss licensing options and find a suitable arrangement that meets your needs. Thank you for respecting the originality and creativity behind each piece of artwork!

Do you do commissioned paintings on canvas?

Certainly! While my main focus lies in graphic design, illustration, and mural art, I'm open to commissioned paintings on canvas that align with my artistic style. Whether it's a custom piece for your home or a special gift, I'm happy to discuss your ideas and requirements. Feel free to reach out to me directly to explore further details and discuss the associated costs.
